Iowa State University Extension and Outreach Ag Leadership Conference

Welcome to the 10th Annual Ag Leadership Conference.

This milestone year’s theme, Local Roots. Global Perspectives., honors the strength, perseverance, and innovation of those shaping the future of agriculture—here at home and around the world.

Over the next two days, you’ll engage in leadership development, career advancement, and timely conversations around emerging trends in agriculture. This conference has become a welcoming space to explore new opportunities, build meaningful connections, and learn alongside professionals in farming, agribusiness, agricultural organizations, and students who represent the next generation of leaders.

Once again, we are fortunate to be joined by exceptional speakers and tour hosts who are generous with their time and eager to share their experiences. One of the hallmarks of this conference is its friendly, approachable atmosphere—take advantage of the opportunity to connect, ask questions, and learn directly from our speakers.

We’re excited to welcome Mashal Husain as our Wednesday keynote speaker. Mashal serves as President of the World Food Prize Foundation, where she leads efforts to elevate global food security and advance agricultural innovation.

Our intensive workshops will feature experienced leaders who will share practical insights across a range of topics, all designed to support your personal and professional growth.

We’re keeping our second keynote speaker a surprise for now—but here’s a hint: we’ve shot for the moon and landed our pie in the sky!

This conference is built around three guiding goals. We hope you leave with renewed confidence in yourself and the power of lifelong learning, meaningful connections that support your leadership journey, and new skills that enhance both your work and quality of life.

Finally, a sincere thank you to our advisory committee members, guest speakers, sponsors, attendees, and everyone who has contributed to making this event possible. Your collaboration and commitment bring this conference to life.

We look forward to seeing you in December!
